Dylan Alexander

Director and Clinical Psychologist

Dylan is a clinical psychologist with broad experience working with people managing common mental health issues, including; depression, anxiety, autism, psychosis, trauma, stress related to work or school, and relationship difficulties.

With experience in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, Dylan works with adolescents and adults. He is an LGBTIQA+ friendly practitioner. 

Between 2010 and 2023, Dylan worked across a number of roles at Orygen Youth Health, where he developed a passion for working with young people through periods of adversity. At Orygen he worked as a case manager, a team leader, he was involved in the development of a new therapeutic model as a researcher, delivered presentations at local and international academic forums, and completed a stint as the service’s chief psychologist.

Dylan started Westside Psych in 2018 to establish a network of friendly, passionate, and experienced mental health practitioners in the Melbourne’s Inner West.

Dylan is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA no PSY0001129070). He is a registered supervisor, and an accredited Medicare clinical psychology service provider.
